“Cannavacciuolo” A name that comes from afar!
Yes, because back in 1861, my grandfather Catello Cannavacciuolo certainly did not imagine he was starting a dynasty of restaurateurs. Since then, the Cannavacciuolo family has continued to thrive in the culinary world.
Now it’s my turn, Marco. Born in a restaurant in 1983, I have always been by my father’s side in the kitchens of our family restaurants and beyond. This profession has allowed me to collaborate with renowned establishments like Eataly, which has greatly enhanced my expertise and dedication to hospitality.
In 2015, Canada played a pivotal role in unveiling my true vocation for teaching. After returning to Rome, I spent seven years collaborating with various cooking schools. My journey has now brought me to Enjoy Cooking, where I hope to find my final destination. From the very beginning, I felt a special connection with the owners due to our shared vision of life—not only in delivering the highest quality of food but also in nurturing a genuine love for others.

Jacopo
Head Chef
I was born and raised in Rome in 1990, in a family passionate about gastronomy and good food. From a young age, I was captivated by how food brought my family together around the table.
During the summers of my childhood, I learned to appreciate the value of fresh ingredients straight from the rows of our vegetable garden and the olive trees that still belong to my family. This awareness has stayed with me, shaping my philosophy as a chef: everything starts from the soil, the work of our hands, the sun, and the care we put into our products.
I have been inspired by great chefs who transformed simple ingredients into extraordinary dishes, beginning with my grandfather and later by renowned Michelin-starred chefs.
With over half my life spent in the kitchens of top restaurants in Rome, Italy, and across Europe, I am proud to be an Italian chef. Sharing my knowledge of Italian food culture is my passion.

Ian
Head Chef
I am a chef originally from Arizona, and for the past several years, Rome has been my home. Before moving to Italy, I spent 16 years working in restaurant kitchens, including James Beard Award-winning and Michelin-starred restaurants. Throughout my career, my greatest passion has always been Italian food and the traditions behind it.
My journey to Italy began while traveling around the country with a restaurant I was working with. It was there that I met an Italian woman who would become my wife and ultimately, the reason I made Rome my home.
Since moving here, being part of an Italian family and immersing myself in the culture has given me a much deeper appreciation for the traditions, ingredients, and simple pleasures that define Italian cooking. I continue to learn every day, and what I love most is sharing that knowledge with others and helping people experience the joy of Italian food around the table.

Alessandro
Head Chef
I grew up in the kitchen with my mother, so cooking has always been a part of my life. Some of my earliest memories are of watching her cook and learning from her, and that is where my love for food really began.
Over the years, I have had the opportunity to work in different culinary schools, learning, teaching, and continuing to develop my passion for Italian cooking. But for me, cooking has never been only about learning techniques or following recipes. It is about sharing, bringing people together, and making something with love.
I am happiest when I am cooking for other people. I love seeing people around a table, enjoying good food, talking, laughing, and discovering something new. For me, that is what Italian cooking is all about and there is nothing I enjoy more than welcoming people into the kitchen and sharing that passion with them.
